1st off, you don't need to make a 2nd thread just of ask people to respond to your first thread. Secondly, if you want to make your civic a "performance car," it'll take a lot more than some 17's, skunk 2 coilovers, and intake/header/exhaust.

You'll need to spend some serious money. You'll need to decide your goals for the car, track carver, drag-car, what? This affects what you do. WIll you spend more money on a complete suspension overhaul for autocross, or will you put in into the motor for drag, or both? What are the motor goals? Build up the stock motor with stronger internals, go turbo, keep it n/a, or swap it for something else and then go from there.

It takes a lot more than a few items given to you and ordered off line to make a civic "a performance car." Remember, this is a car designed by honda to be a gas saving econobox. Just because it's a little lower, on rims, with intake/header/exhaust doesn't make it a performance car. It takes serious money to truely build honda for performance. You have to truely deciede if this is worth it. Are you doing it because you are an auto enthusiast and it's what you love? Or are you doing it to be cool, and as a form of cool "self experission." If you are doing it for the latter reasons, then that's the wrong reason to do anything.

Very well said.

Off the shelf bolt on parts will not do much for a Civic, something you have to live with unless you buy a "performance" car. The Civic is just your everyday grocery getter.

As he mentioned figure out what you want out of your car. When I purchased my 1st Civic (a 1993 Civic Ex) it was a show car and I wasted alot of money on that car. Approximately $15,000 plus the price of the car.

Then I found autocrossing and purchased parts that would increase handling over show. I've only spent $5000 to get it where it's at now and it's pretty competitive locally. I still have a little more work to do.

Doesn't your car already preform?
If you want solid answer you need to be much more specfic on what you want. Or what you consider a "Preformance Car" Give some examples on what you want, what you need, how much money you got.
Do you want very good handling? Do you want 160 hp? Do you want 600hp? Do you want to convert your car to rwd?AWD?! DO you want to make it a drag car, street car, race car, NASCAR?!?!?!
