i think it looks alright, better than i thought it would. But i would not spend the money for the RSX tails. I would have gone with something i little smoother and with better curves

yucki. I wouldnt ever do a tail light swap for a 2G...I think the tail lights on our cars are an integral part of the cars character, setting it apart form others. blah whatever i love the stock shape. :)

Leave the RSX lights for the RSX. It looks poser.

the guy that was looking for different taillights wasnt talking about a conversion, he was talking about a different design while keeping the 2g shape. Read the thread again, and dont start a new thread...like joe wagon said

u know what i was thinking? check this out. has anyone seen those plastic covers they put on the outside of the 2G tail lights, with the 3 circles? what if one was to cut up a stock tail light and "paste" the cover, with some filing and cutting, on the INSIDE of the light, them patch it up again with some JBWeld...the lights would look regular until someone braked or turned their llights on then youd see the 3 circles....pretty cool pretty simpler pretty not-interested? lol. I think Im gonna try it though just for kicks. (PS I posted a thread with a question asking why the eclipse halo lights did not come with 2 halos, and just one...someone said that the high beam was square not round...not tru, the aftermarket h-beam housing is round...)

on my car it looks something like you were explaining... all i have is tail light black outs with cf altezzas, looks pretty nice when the lights are on! all you see is 2 circles for the lights on each side... but i am thinkin about getting rid of it, i like this look better and i am probably goin to change to it or put it on the GST

Yes it looks Very good in fact. They use candy apple transparent red paint. Its actually hobby paint for model cars and they use an airbrush with several coats to apply it.

check his taillights out http://www.nissanminis.com/forum/album_personal.php?user_id=4574&;

It is an aftermarket taillight... BUT those taillights dont come in red like that because i also have a nissan truck and I know. It is the regular chrome altezzas like every other chrome ones. He has a post on that site telling that he painted it red. So it is aftermarket but he just tinted the clear part to make it red

Guys, please read a little of this thread:

http://homepage.mac.com/landon/crxredtail.html

The guy says he used something called "stained glass" paint instead of transparent paint. Any comments?

Jake, I'm also very curious as to how you got the center taillight piece to light up that good. I've seen a few people try it, but they don't look near as good as yours. How'd you do it? Thanks :)

ITs hobby paint... just goto the hobby store that sells model cars and ask them for the Transparent cherry red paint and dont forget a clear coat. its probally around $10 dollars. Use an model airbrush kit to apply it so prolly nomore then $50
