I am looking at a bird for sale that has 125,000 miles in the car itself. The engine was replaced a year ago I am guessing because of busted head gaskets, because it is a 3.8.

The new engine is from a 1997 wrecked cougar. That engine has 70,000 miles on it.

Does the 3.8 motor from ford have the same problems as the previous years with broken head gaskets? or is that the year they fixed them.

The guy is asking $1,400 for the t-bird which is in pretty good shape

is this a good buy, or will I be havinga lot of problems fixing it up?

please help
