n/a --> turbo question

is there a turbo kit, or anything for an n/a 88-91? it seems to me the compression ratio is a bit higher than i would want to turbo, but i really wouldnt want to got the trouble of changing the motor plus tranny. motor yes, but the tranny is just to much money. so this may be my only option (i dont have a 7 as of yet) and i would like to know.
:cwm27:
y cant someone just give me a good deal on a tII?? im freakin out!!!
ok...thanks for any help.

no shit?? hmm, maybe i should think about it more, as i will get stuck with an n/a most likely.

...and is it correct that the rear end does NOT need to be changed, if its an lsd in it.? or is still better to switch it to one from a tII? (i dont know if theres really a difference. not sure) and will the the driveshaft still work, or is it better to replace that anyway? i thought i heard somewhere the stock driveshaft doesnt have replacable u-joints, and its better to get an aftermarket one.

thanks, im already a member there. and i kind of need to get a car first before i worry about parts...hehe
just being prepared this time. :iceslolan

ADD: i just read that the gtu and gtus used the same tranny as the tII, so would that mean u could just drop in the tII motor?

also, anyone have a supercharged fc? and do they make a kit for a 90 or 91, as that would be the year n/a i would want.

yea they make superchargers for the non-turbo FC's... PM devoutwankelist about it, hes planning on SC his eventually so he should have some info on it... it sounds like the SC version makes more horses than the turbos do.

ive looked at it a little and found some kits, b4 i posted this thread. only thing is i couldnt find a price, or pictures, or details on installing a blower in one of these. i am actually only familiar with superchargers on v8s, but if this looks good, i may just go for a GTU or something and blow the hell out of it. i am just really curious to see the setup, because i honestly never even heard of a blown rotary b4 i started looking into 7s.

thank u very much! great site

im even wondering about those intakes too. i am better with carbs than fuel injection. i dont know if i would want one on a 7 tho..wait, it says the carb works better withe sc.

yeah. i havnt even actually worked on fuel injectors or anything b4. :grinno: im going to check the 7 club garage some more. i know a few of the cars got a carb, i want to see an engine pic thats actually got one in it. i bet some of them got the blower in there too. hehe.
maybe getting an n/a wouldnt be so bad after all...well, i still need to find one.

one of the guy i know here in quebec bought a car on the east coast and imported it, the body wasnt super clean but it has a good engine and a supercharger. i can get you pictures.

oh yea, ppl are getting 350hp out of their carbed, turbo engine. that with a weber 45DCOE.

i see a throttle body and a dynamic chamber, therefore, this engine is still fuel inejcted.

turbos have more tunability potential and plain more potential anyway.
got lag ? hit the throttle sooner, thats what Cart racers use to do.

the best setup ive seen was a clutch-type supercharger and turbo on a mk2 mr2.
