alright, so i am modding my 87 black max, and i have another thread on here asking what i should do (with 1,000 bucks i am getting from selling my old car) ... but i dont know which cat-back exhaust i should get to go with the following:

-Stillen high-flow intake
and
-Cattman Y-pipe

I checked out some reviews on here: http://maxmods.dyndns.org/ but i wasnt impressed with the reviews and would like to hear from someone that owns a system on here ... any help is appreciated, even if it's just some links to other reviews of cat-back systems, or anything

i had a stillen cat-back exhaust on my 95. i have a video of it on my computer. if you'd like, i'l email it to you. it's a quicktime vid, about 10 seconds long and is of me and my friend running about 1/8 mile when i had just my intake and exhaust.

Do you mean 87 or 97? I have a GReddy SP2 on my 96 and lemme tell you, it's not worth it. It's a great product and I love the sound but I wouldn't pay $500 for it. If I could do it all over again, I'd go to a local muffler shop and have them custom bend a catback for $100-150

awww sh*t....i MEANT 97!!!!! not 87!!!! i'm a retard... but anyways, i really wanna go with a cattman y-pipe and cat-back but thats like 950 (directly from cattman) and i dunno if it worth it, but i am definitely the type of person that only mods the best, i find it absolutely wortless to mod/upgrade something with a part that isn't the best....

SOOooo anything else out there for cat-back systems that would go well with a cattman y-pipe (which i am pretty positive i am getting) and that high flow intake...

AND....injen intake??? is it really worth it? 250 ? f that if u ask em, but i dont know that much, and i will look into it, thanks for the help but more info would be greatly appreciated... thanks

No, intakes aren't worth much on Maximas as the stock airbox has proven to be the best combination of throttle response and sound. If you want an intake, make one for about $15 or hack your airbox.

OHHHH, Thats why I asked you how many miles were on it, cuz I was wondering why an someone with an 87 would want to put so much money into an almost dead car. Anyway, I have the Cattman exhaust on my 03. I absolutely love it, the sound is amazing, but at low speed, sounds almost stock I dunno if I've seen any dyno curves with it though.

If you can see spending almost $1000 on your exhaust, the only way to go is Cattman. Ceasar's Chariot just got the new set up, he's been through many before, and has a vid up showcasing the new tone. Hopefully he'll give you the link if he see's this...
