Idling problem, 95 GS

I've got a 1995 GS non-turbo, and I've been having an idling problem. Sometimes the car will just quit when at idle. For the most part it will be just when I'm waitin for someone while chillin and listening to music. Every now and then, it'll die when I'm in neutral at a light.
The car idles at about 1,000 RPM, I don't know if this is low or not, but somtimes I notice that the rpms will drop about 100-150ish.
Before I realized there was a problem I was in a park listenin to the system, car died and ran the battery down pretty good, if I hadn't noticed the car wasn't runnin I may have ran into some problems gettin back home.
Any ideas?

Well the idle should be at about 700 to 800 really...but do you have anything on it other than just a stock car?

To my knowledge, the car is stock. I haven't done anything to it, but I just bought it a week ago, so, I don't know what the problem is. A buddy of mine drove it when it stalled once at a light, he said that the fuel injectors might be dirty? How would I fix that?

Have you replaced the fuel filter lately??? As far as cleaning the injectors, you can go to autozone or some place like that and get fuel system/fuel injector cleaner. It is only a couple of dollars and you add it to your gas tank right before you fill up. I do it with every oil change.

my first guess would be the tps. (throttle position sensor) My guess is that like my 96 gs it has some miles on it and if it hasnt been replaced yet that could be the trouble... Think it cost me $50 for the part....

Yea, but, wouldn't the check engine light come on if the tps was bad? Mine did anyway...

As for a fuel injector cleaner I suggest LUCAS...
I was getting about 18-20 MPG and used this 3 times every other tank... now i'm getting about 22-24 MPG... The bottle says.."cleans and lubricates carburetors, injectors and valve seats" I've tried some other stuff before this but didn't notice any change really...
As for the idle problem you might want to check your throttle body plate... I had some carbon build up causing my idle to be lower than normal when at a stop light... I used an air intake cleaner and a tooth brush and have had no trouble since...
