My sons 1992 Buick Regal needs a new battery. What is the easiest way to uncover the battery to replace it. It is under the washer fluid tub.

Thanks Steve

I just replaced my battery in a 1997.5 LS and had to move the following to remove the battery:
1) remove the cross brace. (it holds the fuel resevior in place.)
2) Remove the windshield washer fluid resevoir...Your best bet would be to try to empty the resevoir before removing it. unplug the electronic wire that attaches to the top of the resevior. Be Careful not to break the 'Jesus' clips that probably hold your Wash tub in place. Try using pliers to coax them out. You might try to leave the pump with the hoses attached in the resevior as you remove it and swing it 180 degrees onto the top of the engine.
3) You might have to take the fuse box cover off as well, if it is also next to the battery. I had to do this to get the new battery in.
4) Remove the negative terminal first, positive second, and any bracket last.
5) when placing the new battery, attach the positive first and the negative last.

Assuming that your '92 is similar, this should help.
