i have a 96 s10 with 125,000 miles on it, i wanted to go performance but i dont have the money nor the time, and its got alot of miles, so i want to make the interior look a little better since it was used as a work truck before i bought it and the outside isnt all that great looking. i want to put 2 subwoofers in the back (its an extended cab), inplace of the fold out seats. i looked online hoping i could find custom made panels to replace the ones where the fold out seats are, ones with holes cut out for subwoofers. does anyone know of any sites that sell something like that, or what kind of materials i would need to buy to do it myself? any suggestions would be helpful, thanks.

no such thing exists.... i recommend you read up on fiberglassing and make your own custom box... fiberglassing is not all that difficult, just read up and give it a try. Worse that could happen is that you would have to try again :-)

well i dont kno cause if u make the boxes wrong your subs will start poping and then eventually blow. SO why not just clean it up and buy some boxes and like place them infront of the seats?? BEcause since u said u had no money i am sure to have that made would be pricey because boxes are a lot of money... O i have a 12" in my 95 extcab

actually they do make custim boxes for the s10 single cab, which you could also put in an extended cab. http://www.cardomain.com/item/MTXS1010GT45 that is the web address there, i dont see any reason why this sub bux wouldnot work in your truck, the only thing is there is only one sub, but you could buy too off them, if they would fit, im not sure, you would have to check the width of the box, and then the width of your truck cab and see if two would fit, but good luck, im gonna do the same thing i think...

nope... dood... listen to thier request.. they want to lose the back seats and pkace subs in their PLACE... no such box... and the mtx box is shit... JL audio makes a betrter one for s-10 extended cabs.. here
http://www.jlaudio.com/stealthbox/s10_extended.html
better than that stupid ass idea.. not to bash dood... but those boxes are made for a regular cab for a reason..
In the end i still recommend making your own box.

DAMN, that box is sweet.
I was thinking of doing the same thing as snopro879 and replace the seats by building custom boxes. Maybe now I won't have too.
Pretty slick !!!!!

Check out this web site for more info than you possibly wanted to know about building a custom sound system. http://www.carstereo.com/help/ It even has a section on making custom door panels

i built my own sub boxes and they sound great, to build your own all you need to do is make sure that the space inside (cubic inches) the bok is the same as the cubic inches the manufacturer specs for the sub
