is your throttle stuck open or something? Make sure the throttle cable isnt snagged or the throttle plate isnt stuck or something.

yeah, id check to make sure that somethign like the guty above me said, when I put my friends engine back in his civic I noticed a bit of free play oin his throttle cable, where the pedal had to go in a ways before it started to pull the TB rotor, so I tightened it, but then when he floored it it stuck, so I loosened it back out a bit to where it had about half the slop it did and it worked again.

I had overtighten my throttle cable and the it would rev up to there. Check that. If not, then check you vaccum lines. My throttle dashpot line was off one time and the revs would not come done at all.

are you guys ignoring the fact that he said he has a code 8 TDC problem? jesus...check ur distributor and make sure all of the wires/and sensors look ok..if not, get a new dizzy. Did you just do an MPFI swap or something?

Well since its trowing a code 8 i think i need a new dizzy.Becouse the crank angle sensors inside looked a little rusted and all the magnets were rusted to.

yeah, but if it is anything to do with the CAS, your car wouldnt rev past aboput 35hun. I know it happened to me, except the code mine threw was CAS faulty/unplugged or something like that. and it ran perfect but the ECU would cut fuel at 3400 everytime, so I had to shift way early. and if wires were all turned around in the wrong places, it wouldnt even start, and if it ever did I dont think it would hit 6k runing smooth.
ythat just sems weird that the computer reads a timing problem and then shoots the revs up, seems like it should stop it from revving so nothing gets f'd up in case its way off just like it does with the cas.

Hey, sorry to jack this thread but 94tegRS, why did you swap in LS cams into ur B20? The exhaust and intake cams are identical...go to honda-tech and search about it. If you look at ur head...it should say P75 on it...which is the same head as an LS. B20's come with P75 LS heads and the same internals...no difference...The only difference between a B20b and a B18b is that the B20b is just a factory-bored block with larger pistons and thinner sleeves. Other than that, a B20b and B18b are IDENTICAL....but there is one VERY RARE exception but I will not go into that.
