McLaren M8D from 1971
The model is a 1/43rd kit by Marsh Models.

The only modification i have done, was to replace the white metal exhausts with brass tubes:

The cockpit was done by folding a photo-etched part:

The following build-up was very easy without any problems.

Nice work! Good to see more 1:43 models up here. The Marsh Models Can-am kit's always look nice, any plans to do more of them?

This was my first one from Marsh Models.
They are highly recommendable even for the beginner.
After the good experience i have ordered some more. Not an easy task because the choice is really big.
I think the next one will be this:

01iver, that is so nice. So crisp and clean it looks bigger than 1/43rd. I love Macs too which makes it even better. Can't recall seeing this livey before, do you know any details about the driver/team and where it ran?

Sweet. John makes some really nice kits...and your building talents (not to mention choices!!!) really bring out the art in the kits.

Thanks for sharing and please show us some of the H2!!!

Nice work!

I'm always impressed by the amount of detail on these 1/43 kits.

Yes, but not too much: it was a private entered Mclaren by the Roy Woods Team. In this livery it ran at Riverside, the driver was George Follmer (but unfortunately without luck, he did not finish because it ran out of fuel).
I think they all had a hard time against the works Mclarens (winning 8 of 10 races in '71).
