sputters when I first accelerate

My '97 Grand Prix GT has been sputtering, nearly killing the engine when I first accelerate after the car has been sitting for a matter of hours. It only happens the first time I hit the gas, and it only happens after the car has not been running for a few hours. Fuel pump/filter? It also seems to be accompanied by the lighting of my check tire press/trac off/ and ABS lights. These lights will come on intermittantly. Any advice?
