Hi everyone, Please help
I have Toyota Camry 1993 Automatic, 4 cyl. The problem is: The car very slow to accelerate at the begining or at STOP LIGHT; If I force to push the Gas Pedal and the RPM goes up to 4000-4500 then the shift start change to another gear.
I got Transmission Filter new, Transmission oil new, oil change, new air filter.
Please give me advices and suggestions
Thank you very much
Tim

You may need to check the fluid level. It's always recommended that you check the fluid level first before assuming that something is mechanically wrong.

Agree, sounds like the fluid is low..

Cold and Hot are the only two that matter. Have your engine idle and shift it through all the gears (brake on). Put it in Park and check the level with the engine running. The marks are self-explanatory.

I checked the transmission Oil level and it's OK. Not the Fluid low.
To test the Transmission:
I also took off 2 solenoid connectors close to the Park/Neutral possition (above the gear shift). And drive test without that, I shift from "L" --> "2" --> "D" and the shift sequence seems to be normal; So there is nothing wrong with Transmission/Transaxle. I'm in dead end now... Please give more some more advise...
This problem seem to happen to many people in here, but there are NONE solution for this. Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated
Thannks alot for helping

Try a new thermostat. They are the cause of some strange behavior in the transmission - shifts are affected by coolant temperature.

I got new thermostat, new water pump, timing belt
I also check the ERROR code by connecting TE1 & E1. The result is the Light Continuous Blinking.
Thank you very much fore every help. I'm looking forward to any advices and suggestions
Thanks

Better bring it to the dealer and have them diagnose it. You are not obliged to get it fixed there. It sounds like your transmission is unhappy. Better find out why.

If it shifts ok with the sensors unplugged it seems to me that it is a faulty sensor or bad commands to the transmission from the computer.. At this point someone will have to take a look, either the dealer or a very good tranny shop. One last thing.. you did check for a blown fuse right? I once had a tranny go weird and it was a blown fuse.. check them all with an ohm meter, dont rely on visual inspection.

I recently had a remarkably similar problem with my 94 Camry V6 XLE. after several mistrys by Toyota to remediate (speed sensor, speedo head), they replaced several new wires from the wire harness (between combo meter and the computer) which seems to have fixed it. They indicated to me that 95% of erradic shifting is speed sensor or speedometer head related. (No, I didn't have to keep paying for their trial/error mistakes). Good luck.
