Squeak

I have a 2000 ranger, 3.0ltr, with the automatic trans. Have 125000 miles on her. I live in East Central FLA, so the moisture in the air at times is, well unbearable. I've noticed after rain, and on real humid days in the morning, when I get in to goto work, the Serp. belt squeals, sometimes it does it for the entire day, other times it will do it just for a few mins until the truck reaches op. temp. Been puzzled by this one...Anyone had anything similar or know something that I can do to stop it?....Visually inspected the belt, pulleys, flywheels, and the A/C Clutch, and haven't found anything too out of the ordinary. Are those components supposed to be lubricated?.(Minus the belt of course)

this is a very common problem among older rangers. the most common fix is just replacing it. There are alot of replacement belts out there that are ten times better than the OEM belt. Also, make sure the belt is centered.

I have had the belt replaced around 20000 miles ago, is that old enough to start causing problems?...80% are highway miles, so its not too jerky or stop and go...

yes, depending on the brand, 20k miles can be plenty of time ware out.
