I have a big Problem with my Civic. First to let you know I'm from Germany so excuse my bad english.
My Car is a Civic 88-91 ED6 (EDM) which should be DX in USA (D15B2 Engine)
I swaped a 124PS DOHC non-VTEC from a (EDM) ED9 CRX (Enginecode: D16Z5) into this car. (shoud be ZC in USA)
The Engine is running but there is the following problem:
Engine control light is on. ECU shows Code 9 -> Cyl. Sensor.
I switched the Cyl. Sensor of the exaust camshaft, the wires to C1 & C2 were I connected the Sensor, and switched the ECU (PM7) but the error is still the same.
I checked the wires if the resistance from the sensor is correct and on Pins C1 and C2 the resistance is correct in the plug. But it looks to me if the ECU could just not work with this value?!
Because there is no difference to the running engine when i disconnect the Plug from the Sensor?!
Here in germany there is nobody which could help me with that. So i hope you can!
Arne

Is your timing correct? My intake cam was off by a tooth or two and caused a code 9. Check out searching at theZCR.com a forum devoted to just the ZC.
