Hi there, I have a 1992 Prelude with a pair of blown factory speakers. I tried to replace them with a different pair, but they don't fit. It is a problem with the triangular holes lining up, and the shelf's shallow depth. I don't know where to go for a good selection of middle to high end speakers that will fit in my car. Any help will be appreciated.
thanks

are your replacing the fronts or the back? I replaced my fronts. I first got boston acoustics FX-6 model but the same problem happened. So they had a Boston Acoustics H model. THe H is for honda with shallow depth. Fit perfectly.
SO basically I would go with Boston Acoustics Speakers. FX6-H. I think that is the right model can't remember. There are probally others out there but Boston has great speakers and hits good highs.

I'm not sure about the stock speaker locations. I replaced mine myself and just had to take out that small black piece the held the stock speaker in place. Then i just got a regular 5 1/4 speaker and then drilled it straight into the door. That gets rid of that depth problem.

in my 93 front doors i put kicker 61/2, all you have to do is take the old speaker out of the black plastic piece that mounts to the door and use a dremel (the easiest way) and make the hole bigger and the aftermarket speaker will fit like factory

just drill some new holes, improvise with what you have
