i have a 1988 honda prelude 2.0 SI and i want to get some new wheels/tires for it soon. i would like some nice Z-rated tires that grip well but they don't have to be the best of the line. i want to get a bigger wheel as well. i don't think i would want to get a 17" or 18" wheel as that might look too... not good. i also don't boy racer wheels. if you have suggestions for either, that'd be great!

OK, my mom has a 99 Grand Am SE with the solid value package. That means 16 inch wheels with 225/50SR-16 tires (Goodyear Eagle LS's).

We had to replace them recently, and picked BFGoodrich Comp T/A's (H-rated this time), because they were cheapest for us.

My question: What tire would you recommend for the next change. She won't use any kind of performance, so endurance and wet weather/winter is really important.

Hermunn,
the Sport Edition Fox 2 would be an excellent choice in 16" and teamed up with a set of Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 tires the whole package would only be $728.00 plus shipping

Check out the wheels at

www.tirerack.com or in the upgrade garage area

for the Pontiac you should really consider the SP Sport A2 from Dunlop
