When you start up the truck, it runs good for about three minutes. Then seems to run out of gas. I have replaced the fuel pump on the frame. Seemed to help some, but still dies. Have spark and fuel pressure. Any help?

i own an 87 toyota pickup, maybe just a shot in the dark, but have you tested your pump relay, that may be what's causing it, just thought i'd put in my two cents. good luck Jay

Check voltage with engine not running, on battery post. Then check with engine running on battery post. Should run about 2 volts higher with engine running, about 13-15.5 volts. Check the alternator.

Does this truck have dual tanks? If so,it also has a pump in each tank...the one on the frame rail is a relay pump for both. Also,if this truck has dual tanks,it has 2 fuel filters as well. One on the frame rail just under the firewall on drivers side, and one right next to the relay pump on the frame under drivers side door. I'll warn you now, removal and installation of the filter case located on the rail next to the relay pump is to be done VERY carefully. It WILL break very easily. Most people have no idea this filter exists, and so it never gets replaced. It can get clogged and will cause the truck to shut down. But I'm betting it's the pump in the tank that's faulty. Had the same EXACT problem with my '87 Blazer.
Ran about 3 minutes and died.It was the pump in the tank. What a pain.
But be sure and check those filters first.Much cheaper and easier than tank removal.
Hope this helps!
