door check on f-150 supercrew

I give up, how do I replace the door check on the drivers side front door?
It is the thing that prevents the door from opening too far.
Part #f65z-1523552-AA
it has two bolts that the nuts are exposed, but no way that I can find to remove it from the iner part of the door frame.
Frustarated, help please.
