i was curious about how much of a difference performance plugs, wires, coils, ec. . . made with the 3.0. i've heard that you really can't tell a difference unless you have a FI system but was curious about the gains/cost. thanks.

Gains are not going to be noticed until you have massive performance modifications already done. There is no upgrade forthe system either, only plug wires from Nology, Magnecore, etc.

upgrading your ignition system means a few things....a stronger battery, wires, plugs...and if you want a higher VOLTAGE...the secondary turns in your coil pack....but you cant notice anything until u have a crazy list of mods to make use of an upgraded ign. system

The actually mits dealership people will tell you not to mess w/ the wires, the ECU in the 3g is funny about having stock wires, anything different will make it mess up as for the actual spark plugs i'm not sure

Don't worry about it until you get to the full standalone level.
