hey everyone, as a performance tune up i was thinkin of changin some sensors. My 60k 2k is kinda sluggish in low end. I'm considering the o2 sensor (s) or pcv valve. Should "timing chain" or water pump help in overall too? Hey I used a drive an integra, a lot lighter, so sorry is this aint so important to u. But drive to the MAX, anyway!!

O2 only needs to be changed if your CEL/SES comes on. Timing chain wouldn't need replacement either unless there's something obviously wrong with it. Check your ECU for the 0304 ghost code which means your knock sensor needs replacement and would explain the sluggish feeling.

I have no idea what a knock sensor does (thought it makes knock when u use cheap gas). How expensive is it and can it be changes as easy as, lets say, headlight bulbs? LOL, I still pay mechanics. I couldn't change the sparks on my 2K (position?), nor tranny fluid change. Anybody got any takes on the PCV? My CEL never comes on but i would like to get the ECU checked.

KS detects when your engine knocks and retards the ignition advance to prevent it. The side effect then is decreased power (about 20% loss). The part is about $110 shipped from www.jerryromenissan.com if you use the "MAXIMA" promotional code. I don't know how hard installation would be in a 5th gen but on a 4th gen, I cut my hands to shit changing mine out (ten minute job with the right tools).
