92 Accord Timing Belt

My 92 Accord is approaching 180K miles and I have never replaced the timing belt. I know the manual recommends replacing it at 90K, but everytime I checked the belt, it was still in very good condition -- clean, dry, firm, no cracks in either side, actually it looked like new. So I just decided to let it keep serving the engine. I feel maybe it's time to let it go.
I am just wondering do you guys replace the belt every 90K as recomended? How much does it cost? Have you ever done this by yourself?

definetly replace the timming belt and while you r in there replace the balancer shaft belt and the water pump otherwise u might have to go back in sooner than u think the problem with a timing belt if it doesnt break it can shave off teeth due to age and bend valves ouch

I'm contemplating the same thing going on 190K miles. However it was done at 80K. Thanks for the tip on the other things to do too. I'll probably have it all done next month but first I need to take care of another problem. The Key won't turn! Been doint this a little for a few days and today wouldn't turn after trying for a good 45 minutes. Suggestions on that?

Greetings 92 Accord owner! :-)))
You have a few choices. if you have one of the Original Keys that came with the car,..there are four numbers stamped on the Key. if you do not have a Factory original key, then take your ID and Reg down to the local honda-Accura Dealer and they can CUT you a new key. if that key still duz not work in the ign cyl, then,,....sorry,..... it is time to give the ignition lock to a Qualified Locksmith!
hope this helps friend!
