My friend wants to put a type R engine in his 86 integra. Will it fit??? What would i need to make this swap work? Would it be better to do a GSR swap instead and then if so what would be the power difference? THanks

dude type r motor cost more then the 86 teg itself. I suggest u sell your bucket and buy a 94 + gsr with alright milage. plus the 3 gen look better. good luck dude.

lazyboyz4 well im in so cali, let me know if u know someone who are selling them, if they're in excellent condition with low miles. Im talking the motor and tranny. Sound to good to be true. Type r is rare, hard to get, and its expensive.

if your gettin a type r for anything under 5000 you better make sure it has a warranty

You better be sure it is a real type R engine, and if it is and they're selling moe in a good condition i wanna kno where. and with the 86 teg your still better off gettin at least the next gerneration.
