Hello All,
I'm hoping someone might be able to shed some light on my problem. I have a 1994 Olds 88 137,000 miles. The car runs and drives great but I have been fighting a starting issue for about 6 months now. One day the car just would not turn over. All electrical works, interior lights, a/c, power seats, etc... the start will not engage. Took it to a Cheve Service center. They said the Key Cylinder was the problem. Had them change it and got new keys. Car started for about a month or two without problems. Same thing started again. Took it back to Chev and they tested the new part, explained that the car started everytime. Put a new started on to rule out that problem, started for about a week then back to the same problem. This problem never happens on a cold engine start, only after it has been running. I have already put 1K into fixing this problem and it's still not starting. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do next? I like the car but need something reliable for work.
Thanks in advance,

Check to make sure your battery terminal connections are "very" tight. If they aren't tight as tight as you can without stripping them out.

do this run a wire from the battery run a wire from the starter drill a hole in the firewall run the wires threw get a push button switch and wire it up
btw use atlest 8gauge wire so it doesnt melt :( we had to do that to my sisters 97 cutlass it works just like turning a key jsut you push a button btw you still need your key to be in the on position thats jut a temp fix tho

You need to see if you're getting 12 volts to the small wire on the starter solenoid when the key is turned to the start position.
If you are getting 12 volts then you have it narrowed down to the battery, starter or battery cable/connection.
If you're not getting 12 volts then you need to look into the starter relay, ignition switch, Park/neutral switch & VATS. I'm not sure if all 4 of these pertain to your model & year.
