building a custom sub box

i'm currently building my system and am wanting to sort of customize my trunk for my subz and amps. originally i wanted to make it so the sub box wouldn't slide around when i was driving. in comes the use of L brackets. but that would look gay. then i started thinkin about building my own box. then i was reading on the web about fiberglassing and ish like that. but it's pretty hard and i don't know how to make it look real pimp in my car. my friend brought up the idea of a box made out of all plexiglass. i think this would be pretty pimp and using silicon i could put a blacklight in my trunk to illuminate the silicone.

has anyone ever heard of building an entire subwoofer enclosure out of plexiglass? and if so how hard would it be? where do i find the specifications for making a box, is it related to the woofer or something else? how else would i be able to customize the trunk?
