Thinking about getting a 2001 es...

Am I the only one that loved the chrome grille and wondered why
Mitsubishi went with the new grill in 2002? Anyway, any 2001 Galant
owners out there? Any advice on what to look for or avoid with this model?

i really love my 2001. When i looking at cars i knew what i wanted and it was a 2001 galant v6. I had my choice of the 2001 and the new body style of the 2002. i chose the 2001 even though the newer 2002 would of been cheaper to by due to the lower finance rate. i am very happy with my 01 galant v6 es. It is fast, looks great, and i have alot of fun in the garage with itdoin mods. The only thing i have to say about it is that i am really disapointed in the braking when i am doin 120 down the highway and i need to slow down because i see a cop. But i am upgrading my rotors and calipers this winter. Good luck.

cheap interior quality when compared to a similiar camry or accord of sam eyear and trim level. Very strong engine. Average tranny. I would get a camry or accord, but if its all about the looks, the galant is the sexiest.

(I own a 99 GTZ, a 99 Accord V6... so i can compare)
