99 Rodeo 3.2

Looking to replace a 3.2 in a 99 Rodeo that has a big hole in the block. What years and models can be used as a donor? Is a pre-98 3.2 the same long block?

I'm unsure about the block but for sure the heads are different. The pre-98 (Gen 1) 3.2L engine is an SOHC, the 98+ is a 3.2L DOHC. Just wanted to throw that out for some youngsters.
