Tiburon Motor?

My friend just got an '04 Accent GL 3 Door and I heard that he has the same i-4 as the Tiburon. Is this true? and if so how can we match the Tibs 138 hp? what are the differences, is it internals or what? help would be much appericated

The Accent has a 1.6L, while the Tib has a 2.0L. There is a big difference in the motors. Both are DOHC, but thats the only thing they have in common.
