Ok guys. I just found an 8psi T3/T4 turbo kit for my '97 altima. Any advice on what I should do to the engine before buying and installing? Or is it ok with the boost stock?

i'm not going to pretend i know alot about altimas but i do know that with high mileage they tend to need alot of parts replaced (don't know if yours is or not). i say this cuz a buddy of mine has one and his tears up more often than not (he does rag on it bad though). i could only imagine how bad it'd be with a turbo cramming some sick (i mean that in a good way) unnatural aspiration into that thing. i speak from only one vehicle's experience though, don't know the common trend. kudos though for working on an altima

heh. I kinna thought the same thing. I'm gonna do some research before having the kit installed. I know i'll definately have new plugs and wires in place. Possibly a grounding kit as well. High performance engine parts for the altima prove slightly difficult to find though. The kit comes stocked with everything needed (intercooler included) and 8psi doesnt seem like -too- much boost to cram on in. funny enough turbonetics says you dont even need to do any modifications to the engine compartment it'self. ^_^ that means your saving $$
thanks for the kudos though. This is my first car so I wanna make it grand.
