Power/weight ratio is using Ps(Hp)/kg?
Mine... 7gen, 4door, 2.0L, K20A3, EF1 about 1230/155=7.9 (all stock)
How's yours? What ratio is good?

Hrm never figured mine out:
2450lbs/170hp (crank) = 14.4hp/lbs.
2450lbs/170hp (crank) = 14.4hp/lbs.

That is the wrong equation. There is one out there, but I forget it. I mean think about it by throwing some extreme numbers in there. A 10,000lb car with 50hp will have 200hp per lb? Right.. Now working it backwards, SiRacer, your 14.4hp/lb is saying 14.4x2450 will equal 170.. do the math :)

sorry guys, kg/hp is correct. Checked with spec, RSX has 7.5 ration.
CivicSiRacer.... 2450(1111.32kg)/170=6.53.....

couldnt tell you cuz I got no clue how much power a 11:1 B20 with LS cams, intake and exhaust pumps out. but the weights gotta be about 2250 with the engine and the wood in the back.
If i had to guess Id say its about 13.5lbs/HP
my old ride though was around 2.5lbs/HP.

Your equation is pounds per horsepower.. I'm looking for horsepower per pound, which would be a small decimal.

2400/315 whp (360ish crank) = 7.6lb/hp .. rough estimate holding 19psi with the new BC but mine kept dropping to 16-17psi on the dyno with a home made BC. Was going to use the GM boost solenoid with the EMS but it wasn't working and I took my AVC-R out before the dyno trip :( This is on a built D series motor.

Assuming 15% drivetrain losses about 4.86 pounds/horsepower, or 2.20 kg/horsepower.

For me hp/kg would be 13.27 and kg/hp would be .075 and I drive a 2044lb (929.1kg) CX with 70hp; so the later seems more likely to me.

why dont you believe me, when did I ever say my old ride weighed 1250?
it only weighed about 380-400 pounds I think and had around 152 HP. it was an 01 R1, dont doubt it til you got all the facts.

Power to weight is overrated. 2 cars with the same power-to-weight could have a 1/4 mile difference of over 2 seconds.
