Great news for us rally people, Italeri are releasing a 1/24th model of the FIAT 131 Rallye :D I know Tamiya have a version of this car but its 1/20th scale which doesn't really fit with other rally models.

Haha Italeri in Canada ? good luck  We got hard time to have all the Tamiya kit.
Nice Fiat, if not too expensive, might be a fun built

Interesting you should mention that. I went by my friendly (and only) Italeri importer yesterday and he was all excited saying that the fiat has been ordered and should arrive in a day or two, but as my excitement started to grow the little thought at the back of my head suddenly popped up: didn't Oli mention that it was scheduled to be released in November? The guy said that Italeri did cancel a couple of models from the order as they aren't available but he hadn't checked himself to see which ones, so I asked him to doublecheck, and sure enough, no Fiat kit will be arriving :(
Have there been any interesting/successful liveries other than the Alitalia one, preferably with available decals? I'm trying to decide if I want to buy more than one kit.
Vric, how much would you be willing to pay for one including shipping? It's my understanding that the modellers in North America are being ripped off concerning prices for Italeri models.

Sweet model!
I for one am also looking very forward to this little car!
As for the release, it could be but I m not sure when it ll be released, as the protar lancia (rebadged as Italeri) has been on their site for a while now, and hasnt yet been seen in the stores, as for the release date I dont remember where exactly I seen that one...
Anyways I sent a mail to them to doublecheck this info.
as for ordereing Vric, there are always online stores in Europe who carry it, it s awkward, because even in Belgium which is not so far away of italy, it is even hard to get a hold of those italeri kits in LHS and even mainstream hobby stores...

A While ago (mayny years, when Italeri was easy to find here) the price of the kit was very similar to Revell kit. so a kit like that should be about 24$Cnd (18$us) to be fair
And we aren't just ripped off only for Italeri kit, Just in Quebec, a Ferrari Enzo is selling for 80$Cnd (about 60$Us) While in Vancouver, it's 50$Cnd (40$us) It's impossible to find a tamiya kit under 40$cnd (30$us) in Quebec. Here why I never order locally

HLJ has listed 131 for Y2600 ($23.50 / €19.50) on their site. Release date is marked as November. I'm hopeful that S27 and others are going to release alternative liveries for this kit.

Models are most expensive in canada because you have custom fees. In the US, hobby stuff is excempt from duty fees.
