After 9 long months of looking ive finally found a 240. Shaawing. Ill try and take some pics tomorrow and post em up on herr. But for now its a 1990 SE, red, 5speed, and well...its just nice. Some questions though....im going to paint it and was going to do the s14 kouki conversion. What sort of fenders do i need to look for? the stock s14s would be too wide would they not? if so, wouldnt the bumper be too wide too? and how can i tell if its got HICAS ?
Because if it is, im going to buy the Tomei HICAS disabler box thing.

Haha, yeah its def. the SR man. The engine in it has like alomost 200k old lady miles in it. So its a good excuse to swap.

you said your car is 1990? if i were you, i'd rather be doin the s13 kouki conversion, which basically involves switching out the whole brake light panel and a lil painting. i'm not sure how easy the s14 conversion would be; it doesn't sound like a direct fit so you might run into a bit of trouble. but ￥￥￥$$$$ cures all troubles.

not a hicas for one thing. hicas was made in 91-93 on hatchback models only. Also if you look in your rear end, you won't see a steering rack like the one in the front of the car. Also if you are going to do an s14, you can use the stock s14 parts with a little modding for the bolts to go in properly into the frame.

Not hicas, thats a relief. And yeah i forgot to mention that its a fastback hatchback whatever. I looked under the rear end for the hicas crap, but didnt know what i was looking for so i gave up. Thanks

I know West Yokohama makes the s15 conversion for your car, but I've also heard that they offer the s14 kouki conversion as well.

Let me know if you find anything, im looking towards in doing the same conversion as well.

dont change the front end to a s14 keep the car what it is, a s13, if ur gunna do a front end conversion do the s 13 conversion

well, its between the 13silvia and the s14, i dont know....just not a huge fan of the flips. but they will be there for a while.....
before you say anything, im not doin this because i wanna be JDM tyte or any of that BS.....it just looks hot.

keep it in the s 13 family and put the s13 silvia front end dont try and do s14 at least in my opinion it doesnt look right

I can put it inside my vents with baggies. hahaha. I was also wondering something else. Has anyone heard anything bad about Apexi N1 single tip? Either that or an HKS will prob be the first thing i get because the one on there is too, " old " sounding. And when i do the sr swap, will the catback will be compatible? The only difference between different cars catbacks is the bends...correct?

Nevermind about HKS, thats too much money. Hmmmmmm

you said your putting a kouki 94 front end on your s13? I'm wondering cause kouki could be rounded lights (96+) correct? Or are you going with the slanted 97-98? I hope you mean the 97-98 cause I'm looking into that myself.

If so, let me know how it goes, mods you had to do and such. I am IN LOVE with the 97-98 front end but LOOOVE my good 'ol zenki.

I vote for the S14 conversion, they look sick with the zenki lights 95-96

also on a hicas car you will see a steering rack directly above the back cover of the Rear differential.
