bought a jeep w/ a webber carb and a mongrel of a vaccuum job.

anyone have any ideas, or better yet, vac diagrams to hook up a 258 with one of these carbs??

I am currently experiencing the same thing. Working on a friends CJ. I'll see if I can't give you a guide when I get a chance to work on it again. I rebuilt the carb, VERY dirty, I believe that there are 4 vacuum lines that connect to the carb. I'll have more info later on.

If your still needing help just holla at me, I've built several cjs and have quite a bit of experience with them. I believe i have some diagrams around here somewhere and i can take pics of my 83' to give ya a little better description if ya need it. just let me know.

Yes, i definitly do!!

I really dont know what right or wrong on this thing. I goes so I have just kinda accepted it, but i know it can do much better.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I made it simple for myself, replaced the manifold and webber, with a Offenhauser, and a Holley 390. Picked up more throttle response and torque. Cost me a bout 300bucks at the flea market, would be about 550 new.

Yes!! Any info on the PROPER routing on the Vacuum lines would be a great help. Too many splices and broken lines to figure out. Also, were can I find the part numbers for the Offenhauser intake and Holley?
