hey guys,

I just recieved my stillen body kit for my 2k max and all 4 pieces came in this little box with the sideskirts bent in half and the front and rear pieces squeezed in too. Also i opened the little baggie of hardware and instructions and there is only the instructions for the front spoiler in there and a few nuts and pins and other hardware which only looks like enough for the front spoiler. Am i supposed to have more hardware and instructions for the sideskirts and rear valence?? Also im not going to be putting it on until march when the weather gets better so i was wondering if leaving it in the little box all cramped up would damage it in any way or should i lay it all out and set the side skirts out straight and stuff? Also is there anything else i should do to keep it in good storage condition for a month? thanx for any responses.

I'm not exactly sure how the 2k kit is made/mounted but I'm pretty sure it is made from polyurethane which is very durable. Sideskirts are usually double-sided taped and riveted on. Riveting them is strictly a matter of choice. There are some advantages and disadvantages to riveting. Stillen is very bad about supplying instructions (among other things like *cough* customer service *cough*) so you might want to give them a call but the installation is not that hard. As for the kit being folded in the box. The good thing about polyurethane is you can set it out in the sun on a warm day and it will take it's original shape again. Hope this helps. (I have a 4th gen though as you can see in my sig!)
