95 tailights

I changed the dash in my 95 s 10 to a 98+ dash. the problem i m having is that the tail lights are not working. i have brake lights turn signals but no tail lights. head lights and front markers and everything work. but i cant get them to work. not even through the switch. is there anyway for me to wire them to something thats hot only when the key is on??? maybe to a switch???? can someone help???
