Have a 92 Accura Integra that had some wetness on the front passenger floor, eventually discovered to be due to a missing hole plug in the floor. Leak seems to be fixed but notice some moldy smell during damp weather. Wondering whether there's an effective way to stop this without replacing all carpet in the car.

You could try an ozone treatment but I think replacing the carpet & ozone will be your best bet.

Ozone is used for Fire Restoration & Flood Damage, basically any where there are strong odors. Odors, like mold are living organisms and the ozone will break it down. I'm sure searching google.com will give a better explanation than mine.

Mold is easily killed by bleach. Of course, you have to dilute it enough to not affect the carpet color.
