Svt Nightmare

I just witnessed a very scary thing and just another reason not to get an SVT. I work at the Auto Mall in Daytona. We have this test drive area where the speed limit is 35, but that is rarely followed. There is a corner with no bank. What I mean by bank is where the road is banked up (like at a nascar race track). I can do this corner at about 70-75. It's pretty scary even then. Its just at the verge of learning how to drift by accident. This SVT was traveling about speed and lost control at the corner. Did a buncha 180's and ended up on the side in some bushes. Dented pass door, broken back window, completly totalled drivers side. The whole car is done. Especially sliding up over the curb and all. In addition to that, he was only doing about 65. Well that's what he said anyway.

when i was 14 me and my best friend stole his bro's 85 stang GT and within 15 minutes wraped it around a pole [he was driving]. when cornering or even making turns at intersections they have a nasty habit of wanting to swap ends. i have known a couple to do that and i would say it is the RWD, but i hear about it happening to stangs more often than not. could also be that dumb ass guys buy them :lol2:

Another Rustang Slowbra bites the dust. Even though the guy drove a Slowbra I hope he was ok.

The Cobra has excellent handling, it sounds like the driver's fault to me :/

i love how people hear the SVT and its automatically a mustang. There are F-150 and Focus SVT's runnin around too.

OH my bad about the Focus SVT. Jesus, someone name the car...when I hear SVT I think "most famous Ford SVT car" = Cobra. Then I read someone write "Rustang Slowbra," laugh my ass off, and still think it is a Cobra. Those Focus SVTs are supposed to have amazing handling aren't they?

i used to always think that but lately around here (MN) ive seen ALOT of SVT Lightining's running around. Personally i think they are a huge waste of a truck....no 4x4 its useless.

the svt focus' i think arent bad lookin but i dont like the huge hatch thing they got goin on.

them fuckin SVT lightnings are quick as hell for a stock truck... a guy that lives across the street from me has one and he upgraded the pully for his supercharger and it has me off the launch by atleast 3 cars everytime... sometimes more but once my turbo spools it's not very hard to come back and school him in the end! :biggrin: although i am still not a ford fan and never will be those trucks have some major balls!!!

Okay this isnt even funny. I was getting a transaxel fluid, radiator flush etc etc done at jiffy lube and saw an article on : 500hp V-8 Focus VS 500HP V-10 Lamborghini...are they serious??

They are extremely fast, and look awesome stock. Also don't cost as much as the SRT truck. I like them.

yea but arent the srt 10 supposed to be incredibly fast. 500hp. isnt like 0- 60 in like 5.1sec. thats juss amazin for a truck. but i dont know about the price.

It was the August 04 of Motor Trend. It was the Racing Focus RS8 VS. the Gallardo. The RS8 actually had 450Hp and 365lb-ft of torque. The Gallardo was 493hp and 376lb-ft. The Focus was about 171lbs lighter and tied up with the Gallardo up to 0-50. After that the Gallardo had it. Not to bad for a car that costs 80k less than the Lambo.

yeah the srt-10 is the fastest stock production truck. costs more and puts out more power.

joe: dont get me wrong i think the lightining looks awesome, but for me the whole idea on a truck is 4x4 or hauling. personally i wouldnt get a truck that doesnt have 4x4. but then again i have way to much fun with 4 wheel drive...esspecially after it rains lol
