Hair Removal

Okay, strange "girlie" thread I guess, but what technique do you use??? I only think of this after shaving my legs for the 18 millionth time this week, and it's getting old... Nair (hair removal lotion/cream) does work, but it's messy, and you still miss spots. Electolysis is painful and VERY expensive...
So, what's your solution???

I shave my legs when the feeling hits me....which isn't often, thank god for steady relationships...(my dear boyfreind, who has legs FAR hairier than mine, is currently laughing at this comment)
I get my eyebrows waxed about every 4-6 weeks when I go to get my hair done...which was last monday....I cringe just thinking about the ripping sound...let alone the sheer PAIN of the act....
Nair doesnt work on me....I think Italian hair is too thick for that stuff to work....

Playing with a BBQ, lighter fluid and matches does the trick for me LOL. Hence why Alex made a rule that I am never to light the BBQ again. I burnt all the hairs off my right arm doing this
Seriously though, I just stick to shaving. It's a pain in the ass but probably the least harmful way to get rid of hair. Nair is so full of chemicals and the one time I tried it my skin got red and blotchy, not to mention I smelled like a chemical plant. Waxing is painful...and that ripping noise UGH.

My sister and I bought the Emjoi . It works okay. I'm not fussy, so only use it every 2 - 3 weeks. Stick to tweezers for eyebrows.

Shaving’s so much easier. I’ve just switched to the Gilette Venus razor and it’s really good. Gives a nice close shave.
I really want to get laser hair removal, but it costs too much. Hopefully the price will come donw a bit when the procedure’s not so new.

i guess I lucked out with the hair. lol
My leghair grows slow, and very fine and blonde, so I can go for a while, like a month if I wanted too, and you could see it unless you get up close and look.
Armpits are another story , lol. Those are a daily task.
But I stick with shaving.
As for eyebrows, I get them waxed. I just can't stand to pluck them, one hair at a time. It seems less painful to me.

Shaving sux but we all have to get used to it sooner or later, in the winter i barely shave my legs like mabye one or twice every two weeks. But in the summer i am constantly shaving because im either riding the "urban"wave at the local waterpark, sleeping or working on my car. but being outside in the water and always wearing either shorts or a swim suit requires nice soft shaved legs. YA KNOW!! i dont want the guys rubbing up against a friggin cactus! Probably the best bet for u is to try that new all herbal stuff ( i heard its edible) no major damaging chemicals ( sorry but i dont know the name of it) and mabye that would work or you could always go the easy way out and go for laser hair removal>>>>i heard it wasnt too nice of an experience.

I use Epil stop spray (Any one use the new Epil wipes?)... the spray works fairly well. But if I don't feel like doing that, I'll just shave my legs every two or three days, and use a good moisturizer... but armpits, oh my, that's everyday

I tried the Epil Stop and Spray and found it didn't do ANYTHING. :( Maybe I need to spray it on heavier or something. I "upgraded" my razor to Venus, and it's nice, but the Mach3 actually did a better job. Oh well... maybe if I just ride motorcycles all summer I'll HAVE to wear jeans for protection and won't need to worry about hairy legs ;)

Spec2girl is from OZ (even though she lives in NZ now) and she said NADS hurts and it's no better than wax.
I've been using that Jergens "Naturally Smooth" lotion, and it does seem to help a lil bit in making the hair a lil finer so that it doesn't show up quite as much if you decide to go without shaving for a lil while.

$20!!!! :bloated: wow I paid like $10 for Nair wax kit. I didn't know they have wipes...that seems alot less messy than the gunk you have to spread.

It only hurts.. for half a second. By the 2nd time in an area, I'm used to it, and don't feel anything.

I just shave. It's alot faster and alot easier. Nair doesn't seem to work at all. And, I have blonde hair, I usually shave about every 10 days.
