Question-Carbon Brakes

I see a lot of models on this site with fantastic looking carbon brakes and wanted to ask for peoples techniques. Up to now I have settled for gun metal brushed on and roughed up a little bit but it doesn't look anywhere near as good as some of the ones I've seen on some models.
So, fire away, I look forward to seeing how you motorsport guys recreate this strange finish, I have a bike project on at the moment and the brakes are clearly visible so I want to try something new. Thanks in advance.

X-10 or XF-56 also do the job

Tamiya metallic grey works best I think.
I think the number is XF-56 as Vric just mentioned.
