Should I Ask For A Hookup?

Well I'm getting my interior done, and I wouldn't mind getting a roll cage. Well the general manger of the shop that did my car is the president of Area Six. I think one of the members is the owner of Monkey Bars. He might be an employee...I'm not sure. The purpose of the roll cage will be for show only, so nobody needs to say they don't work:)21 I'm just wondering if you guys would ask for a hook up. When I was back in Cali in October, I think he said that he could hook me up with one for next to nothing. I played it off because I didn't want to sound like I was looking for handoffs. Should I ask or no? I don't want to only because I don't really like to ask for things, but I think it would be tight to have one in a sedan, and he could always say yes.

if you need it, go for it
if you don't, don't go for it.

Like GSTeg said, "If you need it, go for it. If you don't, don't."
Imho, getting Monkey Bars' show roll cages isn't worth it's weight in gold. If you're going to buy a roll cage, get the real deal. That is, get an actual track certified roll cage. That way you also have safety in mind just in case you do choose to do some racing. I believe Monkey Bars are starting to make these kind of roll cages also.

if your shy about asking, bring it up another way, be like "hey man i was looking for a cage for my car, but nobody has any good deals on em, do you know where i can get some?"
