im gettin an evo for my first car and i want it 2 look like the 2f2f one and i need help about the parts used in the inside from shift knobs 2 pedal sets and tachs and cd player or dvd plaer gauges and their locations well if u can help id apreciate it thanx i would do this my self but my dvd got scrached badly and dunno wen will get another one thanx.

man u must b really jelous all u r doin is puttin urself down dude my dad would never go for a used car i wanted a 96 gsx but he said no so i asked him about an evo he said yes he told me that i would end up payin mor for repaiars over the yaer on the gsx than buyin a new evo mr and takin care of it cuz u dont know why the hell a person is sellin his car and if they change the oil evry 3 thousand miles or kept it 2 the end at 8 thousnad miles so there buddy.

Buddy you need help. The evo in the movie Was really fucked up and you better not rice it out. If you just got home from seeing it and are really excited O.k. thats fine but if ur serious about doing this you better step away from the crack pipe and say "no". Why would you get an AWD supercar then make it slower and uglier. Pedal kits and the like do NOT make it faster. If your thinking of putting N2O on it you better be sure you know what your doing. working on the audio wouldn't be a bad idea, i find when i go over 30[ the sound level] it gets all washed out. even my sisters exploder sport trac sounds better. but why would you want to look like somethings that's already been done? do something else, have some of your own style. i find the stock pedals good enuf lol. as of lately not many people have been having luck with nitrous. www.evolutionm.net

I would put C west kit or the hks body kit on it. And Btw that was a real evo in the movie a 7. Cause normal evo dont come with the light + it would be more expensive to do a light conversion and an engine swap on a regular lancer so y the Fu*k would they use a regular lancer for???

The rb's is nice a little extreme on the C.F though but hey cant complain.

I dont really like the body kit on the RB Evo. They do have a nice R34 though.

I like that HKS Evo 8. Looks nice. Did you see HKS's Evo 7, cuz that one also looks nice. That red/white Evo has the C-West kit on it. Not bad looken.

Z06ETR, I second that. For anyone who hasn't read about it or seen it check out the September issue of Modified Mag.

But I think it is the best street EVO I have seen, but the second best overall EVO out there. The best, by far, is the HKS EVO with the full carbon fiber wide body. That is the most extreme EVO I have seen yet.

Maybe you should ask your dad about spelling, punctuation, and grammar. The EVO in 2F 2F was, as somebody said before, the gayest looking car on the planet. If all you want is that image, go buy a brand new Lancer, and leave the AWD turbo's to the people who know what to do with them. I don't think anybody's jealous here, especially not of your grasp of the English language. The fact is, a brand new turbocharged car is NOT the kind of car a kid should be learning to drive on. These are fast cars, and you can get yourself into a whole lot of trouble, really quickly. A better first car would be... a 1990 civic hatch with mismatched paint. At least nobody would criticize your choice of car if you riced it out.

AWD has great control. But it is true practice on weaker car, not a 1990 Civic, but a RSX Type S aint bad at all.

I know this is probably a stupid question, but if anyone out there knows the answer help me out. I was wondering if an engine swap could be done. Can the EVO's engine be swapped into a standard US edition OZ rally edition lancer? And about how much moolah am I looking to dish out of my ass to pay for the EVO engine, if it can be done.....

Well even if you arent strapped on cash theres still the problem of space Im just guessin here but im pretty damn sure the CC size is alot bigger even the over all size of the engine is bigger then a little o.z rally car Im guess in 5k+ for the engine and to fit it 1-2k.

call me stupid(im used to workin on old school camaros and chevelles) but what all is gonna have to be modified under the hood to swap the evo in(best guess....i know you prolly dont have these memorized)? I'm assuming a couple of things will have to one off customs in order to fit, but what all can you forsee me having to modifiy or custom make or move?

well the enigne obviously but the exhaust a slight very slight possiblity of a trany swap as well and it goes with the engine I guess but the speedo :naughty:

To be honest with you. Im not sure on the evos exact engine code numbers. You will probly have to ask your dealer on the engine numbers I just give estamates on $ on how exactly you would do.

Whatever it was its still an ugly peice of shit. That thing is slow, Car And Driver tested it and only got the 1/4 in the 14s. A stock Evo 8 does that in the low 13s stock. What did they do to it? Anyways, is that your R32 Jmrev?

The Evo VIII was barely out when the movie was released. No way it was available when they were filming, sometime back in 2002. Evos are available in Europe in lhd.
