spark plug gap

my 94 rodeo spark plug gap has got me confused???? the haynes manuel has the gap at .044, while the owners manuel has the gap at 1.05mm please tell me which is the correct gap. and also i travel 160 miles a day and takes a full tank of gas what could be the problem...

what size engine do you have? with the 3.2 you should get at least 350 miles from a tank. I do.

.044 in is about 1.1 mm, which is very close to the same (different by .05 mm is nothing.)
if you own a metric feeler gauge use the setting closest to 1.05 mm if you have an imperial use a .044" feeler gauge.
are you sure you are burning a full tank of gas or does the gauge just go from full to empty very quickly? could be the gas gauge.
Are you blowing oil, black/blue smoke in the exhaust, frequent oil addition? could have a siezed ring?
