replacing Leafsprings, coils and shocks

Hello, is there any info out there about how to replace all of the above. I just ordered all new springs, coils and shocks and want to find out if its worth replacing them myself before they arrive. Does anyone have any experience doing this themselves. I also want to make it a goos opportunity to get a couple buddies down to help/drink so that might add in my decision process.
