GAB intake mod info needed

Ok, I've done a bunch of searches and I'm trying to find some info and pics on the Ghetto Airbox modification for a 95-99 Max. Most of what I've found are posts for 2k+ cars and I want to know if the 95-99 cars benefit from the same modification. Also, the few picture links that are out there appear to be dead (or maybe my connection just sucks!)

It sounds like you just cut one big, or a couple smaller holes in the airbox to open it up and remove the tubing that's no longer needed, but before I hack on my oem box I wanna make sure this is a good mod for my '95
