Spark plugs ...Double Platimun needed or harmful?

The 99 Dodge needed new plugs and I went with the Champion Double Platimun. After changing them, I realized that the factory plugs were not Double Platimun, but the everyday standard plugs. Will my iginition system handle these OK? I don't want to go back and changed them again, as some are hard to reach, but I don't want to cause any harm to the system. I probably won't see any benefit either.
Comments anyone?
And yes, the 99 is a Dodge 5.2 litre V-8, but there isn't much action over there.

If your want a "good" plug, I would say Bosch is a prime canidate. I am running them in my 00' Xj and my 91 Chevy p/u and they work well. Watch running the double or quad plugs. Too hot a plug can burn your pistons. Regular Bosch platnuim plugs are a good replacement for stock.

Another type of plug to use is Champion Truck plugs -- I've got them in my '94 and they work fine.

I've always run the stadard bosch platinum in my 94 XJ and they work great...getting ready to pull them out after about 70k miles and there is really nothing wrong with them that i can tell performance wise...

No need to run platinums in a 5.2L.
No need to run ANY premium plug for that matter. Just use basic $.99 Autolite coppers and change them often.

Wolf's right, your Dodge will like the regular plugs. I've seen a couple posts on the Dodge that some guys had a bad deal with the Bosch on their Dodge. (Hey, Bosch is a good plug, not slamming them)

I also heard good things about Bosch Platinum and I tried them. And it was disappointment. The tip looked pretty weak and it was after 40kmi. I just change them with Champion. I heard good things about Champion. So we'll see.
