I have a 2000 sierra, and a while back I had a problem with the wipes not parking in the correct position (i.e. when the shut off the stopped to high up). I brought it in for service and had the dealer look at it. I picked it up and they said the problem was fixed. well not I have noticed that the wipers travel too far down on the window (i.e. the actually almost hit the gasket on the lower portion of the window). It seems like thy just mover the wiper arms so the when they were parked the stopped in the right spot. what is the proper fix for this problem??

The wiper arms just are attached at the base to the spindles. You just pry them off, (screwdriver, small crowbar) And move them to where you think they should be.

2000 is a new body style. What you need to do is take a plastick cap of the base of teh wiperarm there you will find a nut take it off and gently lift the arm straight up. When you reinstall look at the window there you will find a black mark or a dot it needs to line up with the wiper. Good luck.
My wiper arm came loose at 70mph in a bad rain storm. i drove it sitting on a center console for 30min.
