Exhaust water

hey guys........
I started my car on saturday and it was idling in park for about fifteen minutes, i notice that white smoke was coming out of the exhaust. i went back an check it and notice there was water in the exhaust. i stop the car and then put my figure in the exhaust and there was water in it. can someon tell what is going on......... is this bad is it temporary or what ???????????? thnx

it could just be moisture but how long does it do it for... all day every day? if so you could have a bad head gasket or if your are is a turbo... your turbo could be bad and need a rebuild!

it's not a turbo... it just do it for a while until i turn the car off and it stop... today 8/02 it's not doing it.... can water from deep puttle of water get in the exhaust and cause that? what could cause the water to come out of the exhuast?

Water is a byproduct of internal combustion motors.

if u get white smoke it mite be your head gasket leakin.

this afternoon i started the car and waited about 10 minutes while trans set in park (p) and it started with the white smoke not really white white and a little bit of water coming out.....is this still my head gasket..the car run great but i idling rough at stop lights. oh yeah this started happening a day after my valve cover gasket was change by the dealer.....could this be something to do with it....

if it's the head gasket when the smoke is coming does it smell becuase mine have smell..
