OMG: VR4 vs NSX

for all of you who might for some reason care about me. i promise to never ever do anything this stupid again!

i'm on I-5 going north leaving my girls house. and as i was driving i hit some hard ass bump in the road. i figured this thing might have damaged my tire so i was about to get off the next exit to check.
when all of the sudden a glossy black nsx drives past me.

me: OMG what is wrong with me.

i cancel the plan and get behind the nsx. we get to an opening and i punch it, i wasn't even gonna wait to see if he wanted to race or not. as i'm passig him he punches it and because i jumped probably 3 sec before him i just slaughtered him the first run. so that didn't really count.

second run he gets behind me and we agian come to an opening. this time i wait to see his reactions. he punches it and gets on the side of me and i punch it maybe a second after. he comes up on the side of me and his bumper is on my door. but wait, whats this? i'm fucking pulling away from this guy by this time were at 115mph.
there's no cars for still some time up and i'm inching away from this guy. at 125mph i shift to 4th and still pulling and i'm like oh shit i'm still pulling by the time we reached 135mph his front bumber was behind me by probably a foot and i'm fucking screaming "wooooohooooooo"
we shut down at 140mph.

me: NOW THATS WHAT I'M TALKIN BOUT, WHOOOOOO"

we then slow down to normal speed and the guy in the pasenger seat looks at me and gives me a thumbs up. i give him a nod and drive off.

THE SHOCKER

i swear on my grave, when i raced him i was not, i repeat was not using my boost controller. just hks intake, exhaust, twinturbo's pushing out 300+hp and cool night air coming through twin intercoolers.

I AM FUCKING PUMPED!

catch this: when i got home my rim was bent and tire is going flat. that will be $75. it was worth it :iceslolan :uhoh: sorta

a coouple months ago i told a story about me and my dad and street racing. i was gonna sell my car because i.................. almost as if i have a problem with racing. if the car is like major, i get more of an adrenaline rush. i don't know, that wont happen again

dont most nsx have like 290hp? the stock vr4 are like 320hp. good race though my adrenaline was going just reading it.

Very hot run...a guy near my school has one that he always parks out front his shop...but the prick wont run it. I've asked him multiple times.

As far as the rim and tire...good luck, how are you going about getting that repaired. I had a busted rim and couldn't find a new one for under 375...even on ebay. And tires aren't cheap either.

As far as being dangerous...yes it was...but we've all been there. Glad you weren't hurt and at least you learned from it...I personally wouldn't give up racing over that, it just makes you a bit more cautious...which is good. Because the second you stop fearing/respecting this car you're F$#*^D. Good kill and be safe.

I love the look of the NSX, but even in stock form, our VR4s match up very well. It all comes down to the driver and we know who stood out in your race :iceslolan

I have to say it though - next time, if you think you have a problem with the car, let the race go. There will always be a chance for another one :smile:

theres a shop down the street from me that repairs alloys for $75 depending on how bad it is. i was lucky finding out about this place because i was in the positoin you were in. i couldn't find a rim for less than like $350. check around your town. even yellow pages, somone's gotta be doing it.

no it hasn't got in the shop yet, i just ordered the syncro's. it was suppose to go in the shop today. but i gotta fix this bent rim.

also my hood just came in today, the guy from racing concepts called and left a message.

kinda freaky, i raced an old nsx on the same day! i pulled on him all the way through all gears starting from a 60 mph roll thought it would be closer than that seeing as they are a bit lighter than us but i was pulling away fairly constantly, you say you was on stock boost young vr4?

yeah, my boost controller needs some adjustment, that or my bov so for now i'm leaving the b/c off. which is part of the reason i didn't think i was gonna win, but i did :)

whats the story with your race?

NSX's are nothing to respect except for their looks. I raced a purple-blue one on I-25 about a week ago from an 80 roll up to 150 and raped it. I've beaten two on the track which were stock, and one on the street (barely)which wasn't.

Do you think it was modded?

13.4 is nothing to respect?

nsx are not slow and can handle like gods. my buddy has a nsx and though its only 270-290hp they are very light.

R&T tested it at 13.4@105 with a top speed of 175mph

though its overpriced in mosts eyes. it runs with corvettes and on tracks with M3's

u beat me to it. NSX's are built with turns in mind. not straightline speed.

the nsx is a fantastic car, its naturally aspirated and the fact that its hp is nigh on the same horse power as ours is far short of phenominal.

my burn was nothing special he flashed me while i was in the outside lane of the motorway to get out of the way (being cocky) so i moved aside and floored it taking it up well over our national limit, :naughty:

he was hoping he would pass but i just pulled and pulled away from him leaving him no option but to pull in behind me which by that time was about 10 car lengths away he he :smokin:
