Too bad they're reviewing it in Britain. American's should be reviewing it, shouldn't they?!

Crap! I almost forgot that this isn't an American site! Sorry about that. I still LOVE German cars: BMW, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz... I'm with you guys. Heck, I myself own a 1991 VW Corrado G60. Cheers.

The truly amazing thing to me is that this is the regular Vette. This thing has near world-class performance. I can hardly wait until the new Z06 Corvette come out to kick some snotty British a**.
They’ll have plenty of opportunities to study the Z06 Vette’s leaf springs from behind.

That was weird. Anyone know what the stock Type R times are? Motor Trend has the C6 at 12.5 @ 115.0. I thought Type Rs ran 12.8s?
Anyhow, (1/4 mile times not being all that important) they did have some valid points, but it's funny they seem to miss that the car costs 45k and had a really good time on their track. If the C6 is 75% of the old Z06, the next one should be in supercar territory at 55-60k.
Short facts:
It lost to the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR FQ-320 by .8 seconds.
Some of the cars it beat.
Lotus Elise Sport 190 :(
Mitsubishi EVO VIII FQ-300
Subaru Impreza WRX STi WR1
Audi S4
I could say the BMW M3 CSL and Honda NSX Type-R buuuut
*CSL was done on "Dry/Damp" but it lost by a 1.2 seconds so it's possible it could have done a bit better.
*NSX was down by 4.8 seconds on "wet" conditions so it's impossible to tell what it would have done on dry.
However, this is good proof that it is nothing to laugh at.

and as far as them making fun of the flexibility of the body... its an american car and has some pretty tough crash tests to go through, they gotta cut weight somehow (id rather get in a wreck wih a corvette than any of those other cars) and also that flexibility would come in handy when u back over a neighberhood kid, no dents! (ok ok, i have a horrible sense of humor)

Who cares how low-tech it is, it's still fast as hell :)
