FUCKING SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it's taken me a long ass time to finally land a fucking job because of the fuckheads out there who like to give the run-around instead of job positions. Now that I finally get a fucking job and start to get good at it, the Union's contract ends and they want to go on strike. Now seeing as to how I haven't been working for a month yet, I'm not in the Union. Why is this a problem? I'll tell you why...IT'S BECAUSE I AM FUCKED IF THEY STRIKE!!!!! let's see the 3 options that I have in front of me

Option 1 - Cross the picket line to work, Union fucks me in the ass
Option 2 - Don't cross the picket line to work, Corporate fucks me in the ass
Option 3 - Quit the job, Life fucks me in the ass and then takes all of my money

Why can't these selfish fucks make an agreement for Christ sakes?!?!?!?!?! DAMMIT!!!!!! I want my fucking job!!! I told this to one of the guys of my age this , at which he was laughing and said and I quote "hahahaha You're Fucked!!!!" after that I elbowed him in the back of his head.....
not only this, but I'm getting mixed information from EVERYBODY AT WORK!!!!!!!!!!! fucking shit..........just agree on something so that I can actually have money in my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the world of Union Labor. Sorry to hear that man, it sucks, but I'm sure you'll figure something out, even if you don't like the option you choose.

Talk to management yourself about the position you're in. Ask them if leave without pay is a possibility until the strike is over, or seriously think about crossing the picket line.

Excellent suggestion.
Unions certainly are useful in many labour markets, but in my experience, their job is to represent the collective labour force in the industry.
Right now you have to look after yourself and not the union. They do not sign your paycheck. As you say, you are NOT a union member and you need the job.
Do what you have to do to survive.

haha! ur teh scab! LoL!

just kidding. That's hell ashite d00d.

I hate picketline assholes to fuck you in the ass when you cross. Fuck you, assshole, I have to work for a living, not bitch my ass off :sly:

If you do cross the line, and they give you shite about it, just say "Fuck you, ass, at the end of the day, I'm getting paid, not you, so fuck off, asshole", and then snuff your hair out, then go get a burger or something.

What a rotten position to be in. You're not part of the union though, so what line would you be crossing? The job you have isn't supplied by the union (or they would probably require you to be part of it) so get your ass to work and tell the assholes on the line who give you grief that until the union asks you to join and pays you strikers wage, you'll be going to work.

definitely tell the union to go fuck itself. the only real purpose unions serve in most cases is to keep people that really should be fired from getting fired. but if you're not a part of the union then you shouldn't have to worry about taking too much shit from them.

and just for safety sake, keep a paintball gun or baseball bat (or both) within arms reach when you go to work

It sucks to be in your position! No right thing to do.

Now I am pro union, always have been and always will be. I wouldn't cross the picket lines. I omce was out of work during the Eastern Airlines thing, they offered me a job I turned it down wasn't going to be a scab, that follows you form job to job.

Best thing I can offer is talk with the managers and talk with the union, think alot on it and decide what is best for you.

:iagree:

I have been thrown back and forth between Union and Management most of my life and while its true that there are some instances that would require an intervention such as a union especially when the manager is not fair I have noticed that the majority want to be paid the same whether they do the same amount of work. This is fine and dandy in an utopian/star trek society but in reality there are some members that actually work better and harder and yet they get paid the same as the lazy bastard a few cubicles down. In all my years as a union member I have always thought with a management frame of mind and gave my bosses 100%. I am a firm believer that if you do your job correctly and effeciently then you do not have to worry about losing your job, get rewarded (with merit increases) and are acknowledged for your work.

Now as to your dilemma, If you were a dues paying union member I would not cross the line. But being that you are not at the moment, I would cross the picket line no questions asked. Why because you are not paying dues into your union yet and as such you are not a union member and they are not protecting you in their interests. Their interests right now are to the dues paying member and not the ones that do not pay. Take for example the following, if you decide to picket along with them and an agreement is reached between management and the union but one of the conditions is to fire the non union paying dues members, the union would drop you in a heartbeat and say to you "so long buddy, you are on your own".

So for now, I would talk to both the union stricking organizers and present them your situation. If their response is not to your liking then cross that picket line, get your pay, feed your family and if anyone else says anything you do not have to give them any excuses (unless you want too).

Maybe management will see what you do and keep an eye on you and if your work is to their satification they might even promote you when the time comes to a managerial position with better pay and benifits.

Good luck and be strong.
