I began on my Hasegawa Galant VR4 kit. I have given up on making a scale version of my car since I can't seem to find wheels to work, and because the steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car, amongst other JDM issues that my stateside car doesn't have. :mad:I am going to build it the way I would build my real car if I had the dollars.
Anyway, I fitted wheels and tires from a Tamiya Evo V rally kit. What a PITA! This kit was certainly not made for wider wheels than what it came with. Too many mods to list to make them work. It's going to look a lot like the Calsonic Primera. Same color and it sits the same with the tires in the wells to give it that touring car look. I'll borrow a digicam and post some pics soon. Next week I will begin painting the parts.
Hey Guiddy, you seem to have a lot of extra parts. You wouln't happen to have any Recaro style seats laying around would you? :D

Oh com'on, don't let alittle left hand drive and wrong wheel issue stop you from building your car. Have you check HLJ for the wheels? As for the LHD-RHD, just cut the dashboard in to pieces and glue them back reverse, that's what I'm doing with my models.

As for the wheels, I checked HLJ with no luck. And I'm much too lazy to be chopping up the dashboard so I think I'll just stick with what I'm doing. I think it will look better this way. I'm sure my real car will change some more anyway in the future.

Do what ever makes you happy. This is what modeling is all about, building your dream:)
Good Luck

I began on my Hasegawa Galant VR4 kit.

Do you have pics of your car? Some times ago I was interested in buying Galant E32 and I still like it's aggressive body style
VR4 is a Galant with AWD and 4WS, right?

Just build it like yours, but backwards, then flip the pictures! :D

No joy with the R34 Skyline wheels then?

I borrowed the set from the R34 I built and they just didn't look right. They were waaay to wide anyway. The chassi of this Hasegawa kit wasn't made for wheels any wider than what they give you. Just to fit the Tamiya tarmac Evo V wheels and tires took some major modifying. I have the wheels temporarily mounted on the car now just the way it will sit and it looks pretty damn mean, so I am happy with the way it is turning out. I picked up some Tamiya TS-44 Brilliant Blue today so I will be getting down to it shortly. I also found a nicer Momo steering wheel for it. I wish my real car looked as good as this one is going to.
